Oetker Q&A
For the second interview in our series, we caught up with the Oetker Collection. Each property in the collection is iconic and one-of-a-kind, offering an experience unique to its surroundings.
The collection boasts some of our Andiamo favorites, such as Le Bristol in Paris, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France and The Lanesborough in London. However, they also have a large collection of private estates and villas in Antigua, St. Barths and the South of France.
OETKER COLLECTION Q&A:
#1. ANDIAMO: What do you anticipate being the most requested type of trip once travel resumes?
OETKER: Privates Residences, Estates and Villas will certainly be very popular and a big trend as it allows more privacy and less contact with others. Travellers will look into safe places where hygiene is well taken care of. Also a trip connected with the nature, wellness and health enhancement- avoiding the crowd.
#2. ANDIAMO: How are Oetker Properties preparing their properties to reopen? What type of social distancing and sanitization protocols are you planning to implement? Are there any specific properties that you’d like to highlight their efforts?
OETKER: “We are living in highly uncertain times that require skill and fortitude to navigate. My primary concern over the next several months will be to ensure that our hotels, once reopened, are secure spaces for welcoming travellers. The health and safety of our guests and teams are our foremost priority, and we will do everything in our power to assure that everyone who walks through our doors is protected.” – Dr. Timo Gruenert, CEO, Oetker Collection
#3 ANDIAMO: What travel trends do you foresee into 2021?
OETKER:
Wellness & health retreats
Sustainable travel – A global trend, which has increased awareness to protect the environment
Mindful travel, reconnection with the world
Design and destinations for travelling – The topics of design aesthetics and exclusive destinations for travelling are becoming more and more popular
Healthy life has become an increasingly urgent topic of conversation on social channels
#4. ANDIAMO: For our clients who have never stayed at an Oetker property, which destination do you recommend they start with and why?
OETKER: Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa – Set in a private park facing the Lichtentaler Allee, a five-star urban retreat in central Baden-Baden, near the Black Forest, offering the perfect city resort experience. The hotel’s private park is wonderfully photogenic, making it an enchanting backdrop, while its proximity to both the city’s cultural attractions and lovingly preserved natural surroundings leave you spoiled for choice. Not to forget Villa Stéphanie, one of the “Europe’s finest destination SPA” with a tailor made wellbeing approach. It is a vacation of dreams!
