TOP 5 DRIVING DISTANCE VACAYS IN FLORIDA- EAST OR WEST COAST!

With so many of our clients heading down to Florida for the winter, we thought it would be helpful to round up some of our favorite resorts in the Sunshine State that are easily accessible for a weekend or mid-week getaway.

Four Seasons Surf Side

Miami, Florida

The Four Seasons Surf Side is one of our favorite Four Seasons hotels. The Surf Club was an iconic 1930’s private club for celebrities (like Frank Sinatra, Winston Churchill, etc.). The Four Seasons did an incredible job renovating to keep the old world charm while adding a modern flair. The cobblestone driveway takes you into the lobby which has a Mediterranean feel. The rooms are modern and beautifully designed, our favorite are definitely the Oceanfront rooms! The hotel is complete with two swimming pools, direct access to the beach, a beautiful spa and several restaurants. We highly recommend eating at Le Sirenuse. While we might not be able to go to Italy right now, it is the sister restaurant to Michlin-starred La Sponda in Positano, and takes you straight to the Amalfi Coast!

Little Palm Island Resort & Spa

Little Torch Key, Florida

Located on a private island just three miles off the coast of the Lower Keys, this adults-only resort, feels like a true gateway. From the panoramic ocean views, variety of water activities, and relaxing spa you have everything you need. The accommodations are all private bungalows complete with their own balconies. You will truly be able to relax and disconnect from the outside world as there are no TVs and cell phones are not allowed in public areas. There is one restaurant on property which serves indoors, on the terrace or on the beach.

Ritz Carlton Naples

Naples, FL

The Ritz Carlton in Naples is one of our favorite West coast destinations. We love the low key vibe and crystal blue water in Naples. The hotel overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and you are just steps from the white sandy beach. The hotel offers a variety of amenities making it the perfect destination for any traveler. There is a kids club, brand new spa, tennis, golf, and seven restaurants and bars. We highly recommend enjoying some seafood and cocktails at the recently renovated beachfront restaurant, Gumbo Limbo, while watching the sunset

Fisher Island Club

Fisher Island, Miami

The secluded Fisher Island Club & Resort is one of Miami’s best kept secrets. The resort was built around a 1920’s era mansion and looks like a little village as you arrive to the hotel by boat. The property includes a nine-hole golf course, 18 tennis courts, a 22,000 sq ft fitness club with classes, and a spa. There is also a saltwater pool which is attached to a beach club and the perfect place to watch the sunset.

JW Marriott Marco Island

Marco Island, FL

If you are looking for a family gateway, the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort is the perfect spot. The large resort is made up of two towers and villa-like suites. It is located on the widest stretch of sand on the island- over 3 miles! The resort includes a spa, a fitness center, a kids' camp, several restaurants and a variety of water activities. It has a relaxing low-key feel while still catering to children.
